Our Projects
infinite2018-11-06T11:38:58+00:00Pentagon was commissioned to design and build a CO2 vaporisation system to reduce the energy usage of heating CO2 before its used to carbonate drinks.
This was a one of a kind system which has outperformed the initial design and utilised glycol from the chillers. This then passes through heat pumps to heat liquid CO2 from -40c to +25c, a series of closed loop systems transfers the heat to the co vaporisers.
The entire process is variable and the off set point can be set by the client. Energy savings are huge when compared with industry standard CO2 vaporisation.
infinite2018-11-06T11:25:46+00:00Pentagon was awarded a large ventilation project, in excess of 800k, to install ambient and mechanical ventilation including free cooling to the world’s largest chocolate manufacturer.
The difficult portion of this project was removal of the old system with active production lines beneath. The entire production area was scaffolded and wrapped to prevent any debris, no matter how small, making it to the production line. Staff below continued work with no interruption.
The new equipment holds the entire process area at +20c all year round and utilises reverse cycle heating and free cooling to achieve this.
infinite2018-11-01T16:36:39+00:00Pentagon was awarded the contract to refit all theatre air conditioning at one of the UKs largest private healthcare providers across 6 sites.
The task was to remove all existing poorly designed and controlled R22 and 407c systems and replace with new 410a inverter systems.
This also included new AHU evaporator coils and associated controls linking the system to the existing BMS.

infinite2018-11-06T11:42:35+00:00Pentagon has recently been awarded a large 3.6mw ammonia installation consisting of 2 new GEA refrigeration packs; with a tight schedule of 14 weeks to complete with 100% NDT testing this installation took place on an active site with production uninterrupted. The combined project value was in excess of 1million pounds.

infinite2018-11-12T10:16:02+00:00Pentagon was asked by a long standing client to carry out the replacement of aged chillers serving critical scientific processes.
The catch?
All this had to be done over a weekend with new pipework, controls and power. After being handed the site at 7am on Saturday morning the client was handed back the site at 5pm on Sunday afternoon; with the new system running fault free since.
The system consisted of new pressurisation units, 2 new chillers, various crane lifts and new pipework.
